Two Ways to Place the Air Pump
Air Pump Higher Than Aquariums
The air pump can operate without a check valve when placed higher than at least 10 inches(25cm) above the water surface of the fish tank.
Air Pump Lower Than Aquariums
When the air pump is placed 10 inches (25cm) below the water surface of the tank, the check valve must be connected to the air pipe to prevent damaging the air pump.
Please make sure the direction of the check valve is correct before installation.
