The square crimping profile allows better contact, and the hexagonal crimping profile comes very close to the space-saving round shape. Compared with the square crimping profile, the hexagonal crimping profile has the same cross-section and can make optimum contact in narrow round terminal connectors. With both crimping shapes the oftern tricky feeding into the terminal connection is no longer necessary.
