How does a wireless light switch work?
The receiver is wired between power and light. The switch sends an RF signal and can be placed anywhere. Add more remotes or receivers as needed.
Is it safe to use this kit for outdoor lighting?
Yes, the receiver is sealed and suitable for outdoor lights. The wall switch must remain indoors, so you can safely operate outdoor lights from inside.
What if there's no neutral wire in the box?
The receiver needs a neutral wire. If not in the switch box, install it behind a non-metal light fixture. A neutral may be hidden at the back—check carefully.
Suraielec also offers a no-neutral-wire model.
What battery does the switch use and how long does it last?
The switch uses a 12V 23A Alkaline battery. Battery life depends on usage, but typically lasts several months to over a year.
