Note: Expandable garden hose is NOT advised since the pump will lose pressure, resulting in low flow. Automatic Float Switch & Manual Control This utility sump pump for pools is engineered with an automatic float switch, which activates the pump ON when the water level exceeds 19" (or when the switch floats up) and turns it OFF when the water level drops below 6". The buckle on the pump side assists the switch in "floating up" to maintain pump operation, allowing manual control for working above a 1-1/2" water level.
Note: when the water level falls below 1-1/2", unplug the plug promptly to prevent motor damage from running dry.
