Over time the metal contacts of TT plugs and jacks accumulate dirt, dust, moisture and oxidation. This buildup can cause signal loss, noise, and poor audio quality.

Regular cleaning of TT male and female connections helps ensure optimal signal transfer and sound. The AMERICAN RECORDER TT Plug and Jack Cleaning Tool features a specially designed nylon brush and a cylinder pin pad sized for an exact fit and maximum surface contact with TT connectors. A knurled aluminum handle provides a secure grip and precise control during cleaning.

The tool includes a tube of DeoxIT D-Series contact treatment, which removes oxides and sulfides, restores contact integrity, and leaves a microscopic protective layer. Special additives improve conductivity and help keep oxides suspended and easy to remove with the cleaning tool.
