Rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, it is built for demanding conditions.

Self-Leveling Mode: Automatically levels within 4°; the laser flashes to alert when out of range.
Manual Mode: Locks the pendulum to allow manual angle adjustments for non-standard applications or when working on sloped surfaces. Select the correct mode using the sliding switches: for Self-Leveling (for horizontal/vertical lines), set the top switch to OFF and the side switch to ON. If the laser flashes, it indicates an uneven surfacesimply move the tool to a flatter spot. For angled lines, use Manual Mode by setting the top switch to ON and the side switch to OFF. Always turn the side switch OFF after use
