The user simply needs to utilize their own lathe to lightly surface the front and turn a minimal amount on the registration boss to match the actual chuck recess, then bolt the two parts together with the provided bolts. This process resembles assembling a 3-jaw chuck with a new back plate. As this final assembly is completed on the user's own lathe, it can typically achieve the highest TIR accuracy.
