If I already have the latest version downloaded, will this give me a key or a username/password that will work to unlock my trial version?

Accepted Answer

I think it will. Not sure. I had no problem with mine.I forget exactly what happened but I do remember I had no problem activating the new version from the disc.--I hope that helps you out.I wish I remember exactly what happened but it was 8 months ago.

Question 3

Does this come with the Malware Bytes still? I do not see it listed.

Accepted Answer

The newest one I bought has Malware protection built-in and I don't need Malware Bytes. The one I got a few months ago came with a slimmed down version of MB that is similar to the free version from their website. I don't know if it wise to run both at the same time, probably why they don't include it anymore.

Question 5

Accepted Answer

Question 6

whats the differance in the OEM version then prehaps a 3 pack?

Accepted Answer

It basically comes down to how many computers you can install it on.

The OEM 1 pack is licensed for use on 1 computer. When you receive the disk, it comes in a simple white envelope. Nothing fancy - it's OEM.

The 3 pack would give you license to install it on 3 computers. Since it's not OEM, it probably comes in a 'nice' box... that you'll probably just throw away after installing it.

Both will work the same. OEM is not any less of a product than the non-OEM.

Question 7

Will it work on apple's new operating system?

Accepted Answer

Please do a search for "ESET CyberSecurity for Mac" on Newegg's web site. I do have it on 5 Macs. Works good for me.

Question 8

Does this offer a free upgrade to the latest version? (I think it's 7?)

Accepted Answer

Yes, you are basically purchasing a 1 year subscription for a single user. If during that period a new version is released, just download it directly from ESET (have your username and password available). Uninstall your current version and restart your computer (only necessary if an older version is already installed). Install the new version entering your unique username and password to activate.
