What Hydrothermal Synthesis Autoclave is? The hydrothermal synthesis reactor is a closed vessel capable of decomposing insoluble substances. The ultra-high temperature hydrothermal synthesis reactor is externally heated to reduce the volume, and it is advantageous to have multiple reactors at the same reaction operating temperature (for example, heating multiple reactors in an oven). How to choose the reactor? Firstly confirm the capacity of your reaction solution (if your reaction solution is 30ml, it is recommended to buy a 100ml reaction kettle, the reaction kettle should be added with 1/3 of the solution when it is used for the first time), Then confirm the temperature and pressure you need (you can choose according to the applicable range of each reactor) Suggested Heater It is recommended use a heater with programmed heating, muffle furnace is not recommended, becasue of temperature overshooting and temperature heating rate exceed the limit will lead to melting of the lining.
Operation Steps Pour the reaction material into the Teflon bushing, make sure the filling factor is less than 0.8. Make sure that the lower gasket of the kettle body is correctly positioned (raised side down), then put in the Teflon bushing or PPL bushing and the upper gasket, tighten the kettle lid first, and then twist the lid with a screw until it is tightened. Place the hydrothermal synthesis reactor in the heater and raise the temperature to the required reaction temperature according to the specified heating rate. (less than the specified safe use temperature) Do not open the lid of the kettle until you are sure that the temperature inside the belly is below the boiling point of the solvent of the reactant species.
When the reaction is finished and the temperature is lowered, it should also be done strictly according to the specified lowering rate for safety and the service life of the reactor. After confirming that the temperature inside the kettle is lower than the boiling point of the solvent of the reactant species, first loosen the lid with a screw and then open the lid. Clean the hydrothermal synthesis reactor after each use to avoid rust and corrosion. Pay extra attention to clean the kettle body and the seal of the kettle cover, and prevent them from being damaged by bruising.
