Color Indication: The orange silica gel shifts to green when it has absorbed 50-60% moisture. The first color change does not mean full saturation; the desiccant keeps absorbing moisture until it reaches 50-60% RH, then turns dark green. It is advised to inspect the color of the silica gel beads regularly to maintain their performance. Silica gel beads are safe and free of cobalt chloride.
Rechargeable: These reusable desiccant beads can be refreshed by placing them in an oven for 0.5 to 2 hours at 200 to 250°F, or in a microwave for 7-10 minutes at 700W, heating until all beads become bright orange. Depending on the state of the silica beads, less time than recommended may be needed; please check the beads' color from time to time.
