Why are the signal bars locked at one bar and no longer flashing?
It means the learning process is finished. The receiver has successfully locked onto the target signal from the transmitter. The scanning-search phase ends, so the bars stop scrolling and flashing. You can start cable tracing now
Why does this outlet tester need batteries? Isn’t it a plug-in only device?
This is a 2-in-1 outlet tester and cable tracer. The outlet test function works while plugged in, yet the tracing receiver requires battery power to scan cable signals. It also features memory function, keeping the last test status on next startup
NCV mode beeps and flickers even when I am not near live wires?
Non-contact voltage detection is highly sensitive. It may respond to surrounding electromagnetic interference from nearby electrical appliances. Please move away from power adapters or wires and test again

Double-check the battery polarity is installed correctly. Press RESET key to restart learning process. Ensure the transmitter clips are making good contact with the wire
