SK hynix - 8GB 1Rx8 PC4 - 2400T - SA1 - 11
HMA81GS6AFR8N - UH N0 AC 1820

I pulled it out because I replaced it with 16GB of other matching RAM I had laying around.

Is the 256GB SSD a SATA or NVMe type?

Hwinfo and Speccy both indicate the SSD in my S530FN is a SanDisk M.2 SATA III drive. The conventional hard drive also has a SATA III connection in case you wanted to replace it with a 2.5 inch SSD as well.

Am I able to add additional ram?

The laptop comes with 1 8 GB stick of RAM but has 2 SO-DIMM slots and dual-channel memory support so you can add in an extra stick. ASUS indicates that the maximum supported memory is 16 GB. Be aware that like most ultrabook style laptops it's not easy to open it up to upgrade.
