Does this computer have a built in rear docking port? (Can be snagged on a Dell Docking station)

I won't do business with newegg ever again, but yes, this computer has a docking port of some kind on the bottom toward the back. I'd include a picture if there was a way to. It is a wide connector with a hole on either side for lining up the connector with the dock.

My battery was no good, but Joy Systems, the refurbisher, sent me a brand new double sized one at no cost and now I can work for 6 or 7 hours unplugged.

I would not hesitate to buy another one of these from Joy Systems.

Question 2

What are the ports available? The details say Mini-HDMI which doesn't make much sense, in addition, the stock photos used show a model with a standard HDMI connection. Please clarify the video outputs available.

It has a VGA port and a smaller-thannormal HDMI port (by that, it is smaller than standard).   It looks like a standard HDMI port, only about 75% of the size.  I don't know what it is exactly and I haven't used it.

It also has a USB and an eSATA port, in addition to the standard ethernet port.  Hope this helps.

What is the battery life like on this?

My daughter can get 4-6 hours on a full charge.  That is a mix of the sleep mode and use.  it works well for her as a College student.  The battery is of course refurbished but so far it is holding a charge well.
