Dreamscreens USB multi-media SIM card reader with Micro SIM and Nano SIM adapters is a USB 2.0 media reader for SIM cards, Smart Cards, SD, Micro SD, MMC, SDHC, and SDXC storage devices. This multi-media reader is plug and play for SD, Micro SD, and other memory cards. For SIM cards, it includes SIM editing and SIM recovery software to be able to read data from SIM cards. Smart cards require smart card reading apps which is not included.
The SIM recovery app reads all user data and recovers any deleted SMS (text message) that have not been overwritten with new data. Please note that most phones today do not store SMS to the SIM so this will not work for phones that store SMS to the phone's internal memory.

Multi-Media Card Reader with SIM Card Support
SIM cards can store approximately 250 contacts, 10 last numbers dialed, and about 50 SMS text messages. However, most phones today store this data in the phone memory. iPhones do not store this data on SIM cards so SIM cards from iPhones will be blank. Android phones do not store data to SIM cards by default but allow you to save contacts to the SIM. Please make sure your phone stores data to the SIM before purchasing.
