How to Read & Transfer Files/Photos from Memory Card to iPad/ iPhone 17/16/15 ?
- Simply insert a memory card into the reader. Turn on the iPhone and iPad, and connect the reader to the USB-C port.
- Open the "Files" app on your iPhone 17 16 15/ iPad. When you access the “ABC” folder, you will find three options at the bottom of the screen: “Recents,” “Shared,” and “Browse.” Please ensure that you select “Browse.” The other two options do not pertain to the contents on your memory card.
- Please select "NO NAME" or "Untitled" (default name of most memory card). If your memory card were named “ABC”, you will see “ABC” there, plz just tap “ABC”. Then you will be able to read a variety of files such as jpg, MP3, word, excel, PDF, etc. You can transfer data from a memory card to an iPhone 17/16/15. You can remove, copy, and paste files from your memory card into your iPhone or iPad. Alternatively, copy files from your iPhone or iPad to a memory card.
- The “Files” app, which is incorporated into iOS, usually you don’t have to download, allows you to easily transfer data from a memory card to your iPhone. If there is no “Files” App, please download it from App Store. If you can see the files but fail to open them, you may need to download a third-party app to read and open them.
What can I do if I see nothing on my iPhone?
- Please make sure your iPhone is iPhone 15-17 series. This SD card reader cannot be used with iPhone 5-14 series with lightning port.
- If you see nothing, please make certain the memory card is properly put into the slot. You can follow with the orientation symbol on the card reader if you have no idea how to insert a memory card. If you still see nothing, please unlock the OTG function on your USB-C phones before plugging it in.
- If you can see files but fail to open it, you may have to download a third-party app to read these files. Similarly happened to a computer, you may click on an MP3 file and it won't play if it doesn't have an MP3 player,
- Only support at most one card and one USB drive to read at the same time. (SD card, TF card, and USB 3 ports can NOT be read simultaneously.
- All cellphones only support FAT32 or exFat formats. If your memory card is in NTFS format, please backup the files and format it to FAT32 or exFAT as it will not be recognized.
