Question 1

The preview images show a bundle of connectors... I need just the small 4 pin, and its for a supermicro fan enclosure, so space is tight.

How re the connectors all connected? Are they all hard wired, or is it done via adapters? Can the 4-pin be isolated easily?

Accepted Answer

As far as I can recall during unpacking and installation, any connectors on this series from Artic are hard-wired to the casing. These are designed to be plugged into each other in series so that the PWM of one controls the rest. If you are purchasing a single fan as opposed to a set for your entire case, you may look at Artic's other models if you don't wish to have the extra connectors.

Question 2

could this be used to replace a noctua NH-L9i 92mm fan ?

Accepted Answer

as long as the application is close to the same, ie; case fan
the spacing should be the exact same thing

Question 3

What is the static pressure for this fan?

Accepted Answer

Do not know but using in a small server with another fan and CPU (Xeon) seems to stay cool.

Question 4

Would these fit on the d92 cpu cooler ?

Accepted Answer

The fan has 92mm mounts, so it would fit. The bigger question is: does it have enough air flow to meet your needs? The original D92 cooler specs indicate max air movement of 54.7 cfm, while the Arctic Cooler maxes out at 43 cfm. So the question is, how do you use the computer the D92 is cooling? If you're overclocking, gaming or doing lots of video and graphics manipulation (in other words, taxing the CPU), you may want to shop for fans that move more air. On the other hand, if the computer is used for light to medium-duty, general purpose computing, the Arctic Cooler will work just fine and probably be quieter too.

Question 5

Is this fan optimized for airflow or static pressure? I am planning on installing two of these as intake fans on my node 304. I'm debating between these at 18 for two or the noctua nf-b9 at 23 for the pair. The noctuas are listed at 38 cfm and 17 dB for comparison. Other specifics: 4790k with dark rock pro 3 and asus gtx 660.

Accepted Answer

Its more optimized for static pressure but would still be good as an intake/exhaust fan.

Question 6

Could these be used to replace CoolerMaster N520 cpu cooler fans?

Accepted Answer

if is the same size and will fit on heatsink
