This IDE HDD adapter riser card allows you to install a 2.5inch 44pin laptop IDE hard drive onto a standard desktop 3.5inch IDE motherboard connector. It bridges the difference between notebookstyle 44pin combined datapower IDE interface and desktop 40pin IDE data port, equipped with an extra 4pin Molex power jack to deliver sufficient power supply for your 2.5inch IDE HDD.
Solid PCB board with accurate pin mapping maintains reliable signal transmission during disk reading and writing. It is a passive hardware adapter without extra chip processing, compatible with vintage desktop motherboards featuring IDE ports. Compact board size fits inside PC chassis without occupying much installation space.
Ideal for repurposing retired laptop IDE hard disks, oldsystem data recovery, retro PC building and legacy storage hardware testing. Please note this adapter only works with PATA IDE hard drives, it is not compatible with SATA SSD or HDD.
