For M.2 NVMe SSD (MKey), it converts the NVMe interface to PCIe x16 slot of your motherboard to achieve highspeed PCIe storage performance. For M.2 SATA (BKey) SSD and mSATA SSD, the adapter turns them into standard SATA III port, so you can connect them to motherboard SATA data cable and SATA power supply just like ordinary 2.5inch SATA solidstate drives.

It is an excellent practical hardware accessory for recycling old SSDs, expanding internal storage capacity and building lowcost storage systems. Only hardware installation is required; no extra driver is needed for most mainstream operating systems.

Please note the different interface requirements: M.2 NVMe needs a motherboard PCIe slot that supports NVMe protocol. M.2 SATA and mSATA modules work via SATA III channel. This adapter cannot mix multiple SSDs for simultaneous operation at the same time; only one SSD can be used per installation. Confirm your SSD key type and mainboard specification before purchase.
