This 4-port PCI SATA 3.0 expansion controller card adopts mature Silicon Image 3114 processing chip, designed to solve the problem of insufficient onboard SATA ports on old desktop motherboards, industrial control hosts and entry-level servers, greatly expanding the computers storage access capacity.
The card brings four independent internal SATA 3.0 connectors, each port can be connected to 2.5-inch SSD, 3.5-inch mechanical hard disk, optical drive and SATA interface storage devices separately. It supports the maximum theoretical bandwidth of SATA 3.0 standard, fully releasing the transmission performance of mainstream solid state drives and high-speed mechanical hard disks.
One of its core functions is integrated hardware RAID array management, which can set up three common RAID modes: RAID 0 for combined striping to boost overall disk reading and writing speed, RAID 1 for mirror backup to prevent single disk failure data loss, and RAID 10 for balancing speed and data safety. It provides reliable data protection solutions for file storage servers, backup workstations and surveillance recording hosts.
It uses the traditional PCI slot for connection, which is widely found on older generation motherboards that lack PCIe slots, making it an ideal low-cost upgrade accessory for legacy equipment renovation. The card is downward compatible with SATA 2.0 and SATA 1.0 protocols, ensuring good compatibility with various generations of hard drives on the market. After installing the matching driver program, it can run stably under Windows XP, Win7, Win10 and other desktop operating systems.
The circuit board adopts optimized anti-electromagnetic interference wiring and solid component welding process, effectively resisting signal crosstalk inside the closed chassis and avoiding hard disk identification failure or disconnection during long-time continuous operation. The standard fixed metal baffle firmly locks the card to the computer case to resist vibration impact.
It is widely used in DIY multi-disk storage expansion, small file server construction, monitoring NVR host hard disk expansion, old industrial computer storage module upgrading and other scenarios. Before building RAID arrays, please back up all original important data to avoid accidental file loss caused by array initialization.
