Blazing PCIe 5.0 x4 Speed: delivers up to 16GB/s (128Gbps) bandwidth - for massive file transfers, 4K/8K video editing and large-capacity U.2 NVMe SSD workflows. Backward compatible with PCIe 4.0/3.0.
Wide U.2 SSD Compatibility: converts a PCIe x4/x8/x16 slot into a U.2 (SFF-8639) port for 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSDs. Works with PCIe 5.0/4.0/3.0 motherboards. Not compatible with SATA or SAS drives.
Dual Bracket & Passive Cooling Design: ships with both a regular-profile bracket for ATX cases and a low-profile bracket for 2U/slim server chassis. Precision PCB cutout under the drive area prevents trapped hot air and improves airflow around the SSD controller - no fan noise, no moving parts.
Plug & Play, Bootable: no driver required. Supports booting the OS directly from the U.2 SSD (reinstall OS and set boot device in BIOS/UEFI). Works with Windows 11/10/8, Windows Server, Linux, VMware ESXi, Ubuntu and macOS.
Full PCIe 5.0 x4 speed requires a PCIe 5.0 CPU, motherboard slot and U.2 SSD (Intel 12th Gen and older do not support PCIe 5.0; AMD requires Ryzen 8000 or above). Hot swapping is NOT supported. A new U.2 SSD needs to be initialized and formatted before the PC can recognize it.
