This 2230 to 2242 NGFF M.2 extension adapter is a dedicated storage upgrade accessory for Lenovo Legion Go gaming handheld and ThinkPad X270/X280/T470/T480/L480/T580 business laptops, solving capacity limits of factory 2230 small SSD slots by supporting mainstream larger-capacity 2242 SSDs.
It adopts male B+M Key plug to match the original 2230 motherboard slot, paired with female M-Key socket to install standard NVMe M.2 drives. The adapter only transmits identical protocols: NVMe SSD works with NVMe slots, SATA SSD works with SATA slots; it cannot convert NVMe to SATA or vice versa.
High-precision black PCB with immersion gold pins effectively reduces electromagnetic interference and signal attenuation, maintaining complete PCIe 4.0 x4 speed during long-hour gaming loads, video rendering and large file transfers.
