This M.2 SATA to 2.5 IDE 44pin adapter is a dedicated upgrade accessory for legacy IDE hardware. It allows users to replace slow mechanical IDE hard drives with modern high-speed SATA M.2 SSDs, improving system response speed without replacing the whole old device.
Only compatible with B Key / B+M Key SATA M.2 SSDs; NVMe protocol M-Key drives cannot be recognized. It covers all mainstream M.2 lengths from 2230 to 2280. The internal bridge chip complies with IDE Ultra DMA transmission standard, automatically converts IDE 5V power to 3.3V required by M.2 SSD to avoid power shortage and drive drop-off.
The overall size conforms to standard 2.5-inch notebook hard drive specification, which can be directly installed into old IDE laptops, industrial control machines, cash registers and retro PCs. Plug-and-play design works with Windows XP, Win7, DOS and Linux industrial systems without driver installation.
Comes with mounting screws for fixing the M.2 SSD tightly on the board. Ideal for equipment renovation, retro computer modification and industrial device storage replacement to extend service life with low-cost solid state storage.
