This SATA to 40Pin 3.5-inch IDE adapter is a cost-effective compatibility solution for reusing legacy IDE storage hardware on new SATA motherboards. It turns a spare SATA data port on your PC mainboard into a standard 40Pin PATA IDE port to power and access vintage 3.5 IDE HDDs and IDE optical drives.
Equipped with professional SATA-IDE bridge chip, it realizes stable signal transmission between SATA and IDE buses, supporting ATA 100 / ATA 133 IDE transmission standards. Gold-plated contact pins effectively prevent oxidation and bad contact during long-term continuous operation for data backup, file archiving and media reading.
Compact circuit board structure occupies minimal internal chassis space and requires no extra complicated wiring. No driver installation is needed after plugging in; the system will automatically recognize the IDE storage device. It can be used as a bootable system disk for retro PC renovation and industrial equipment maintenance.
Note: This adapter only works for 3.5-inch 40Pin desktop IDE devices, not applicable to 2.5-inch 44Pin notebook IDE hard drives.
