This SATA to IDE converter realizes signal conversion between 2.5-inch SATA storage and 3.5-inch 40Pin PATA IDE interface, solving the compatibility problem of installing modern 2.5 SATA SSDs into old IDE desktop computers.
Built-in mature SATA to PATA bridge chip, it supports ATA 100 and ATA 133 IDE transmission standards with a maximum speed of 1.5Gbps limited by parallel IDE bus. The 40Pin male IDE connector fits standard 3.5-inch desktop IDE slots perfectly. Gold-plated contact pins greatly reduce contact failure caused by long-term oxidation.
The mini PCB layout takes up little internal case space and will not block other hardware wiring. No extra driver installation is needed; the operating system automatically identifies the storage device after connection, and it can be used as a bootable system disk for retro PC renovation and industrial equipment upgrades.
Important Note: This adapter only supports 3.5-inch 40Pin desktop IDE interfaces, not applicable to 2.5-inch 44Pin notebook IDE hard drives.
