This dedicated 12+16 pin to M.2 NGFF M-Key SSD converter card is specially designed for 2014 and 2015 MacBook models with part numbers A1493, A1502, A1465 and A1466, providing a low-cost storage upgrade solution to replace limited-capacity original Apple proprietary SSDs.
The adapter only supports M-Key PCIe NVMe and AHCI M.2 solid state drives with 2280 dimension; SATA M.2, B-key and B+M-key SSDs are not compatible. It maintains full PCIe X4 bandwidth to unlock maximum read and write speed of aftermarket M.2 SSDs, greatly improving system boot speed, app loading and large media file processing performance.
The PCB board perfectly matches the size and pin layout of the factory SSD slot, enabling seamless plug-in installation without modifying the laptop shell. No extra driver or firmware flashing is needed, and it delivers stable performance on macOS 10.13 High Sierra and all newer macOS releases. Ideal for photo editing, video production and daily office use to revive aging MacBook devices.
