This SFF-8639 U.2 to combo M.2 M-Key adapter acts as a bidirectional storage bridge, connecting U.2 enterprise SSDs to mainstream motherboards while supporting both NVMe PCIe and SATA M.2 solid state drives at the same time. It is specially optimized for Intel enterprise U.2 SSD series including 750, P3600 and P3700, solving the compatibility issue of installing high-speed U.2 drives on motherboards without native SFF-8639 ports.
The adapter is equipped with two independent M.2 slots: one exclusive M-Key slot for PCIe NVMe/AHCI SSDs and one SATA slot for B/B+M Key SATA M.2 drives, covering mainstream 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 M.2 sizes. It delivers complete PCIe 3.0 x4 transmission bandwidth to fully release the maximum read-write performance of enterprise-grade NVMe SSDs without throttling.
Built with stable multi-layer PCB and over-current, short-circuit protection circuits, it ensures long-term reliable operation under heavy data load for servers, video editing workstations and data storage hosts. No extra driver installation required for Windows 10/11 and mainstream Linux kernels; just plug in the SSD and U.2 cable to finish setup instantly. Compact 2.5-inch standard form factor fits all regular hard drive bays, a cost-effective solution to reuse idle U.2 enterprise SSDs and expand multi-channel M.2 storage capacity.
Note: M.2 SSD, U.2 cable and power cord are not included in the package.
