AJMRTC M4B OCuLink SFF-8612 to M.2 M-key adapter is a professional high-speed storage converter built for OCuLink-enabled host systems. It converts an OCuLink SFF-8612 port into a standard M.2 M-key NVMe slot, allowing you to install a common M.2 NVMe SSD through OCuLink cabling, which brings great flexibility for custom chassis layout, server storage backplane modification and eGPU docking platforms.
It supports PCIe 4.0 x4 lane with theoretical bandwidth up to 64GB/s, and automatically falls back to PCIe 3.0 speed when paired with Gen3 hosts. It uses pure pass-through architecture, no signal conversion chip, so there is no additional latency or performance loss. The PCB adopts multi-layer high-speed stack design with strict impedance matching to reduce crosstalk, signal attenuation and electromagnetic interference during continuous heavy read-write workloads, which is critical for 4K/8K video editing, database operations and large file cloning.
The M.2 slot supports four mainstream SSD lengths: 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280, covering most consumer and enterprise M.2 NVMe drives on the market. Independent power circuit provides stable power supply for the SSD, and it supports hot-swap function when the host system and BIOS are configured correctly. It is driver-free and recognized natively by Windows, Linux and other mainstream operating systems that support NVMe.
This adapter is widely used for OCuLink host expansion, DIY storage server, NAS acceleration, portable external NVMe dock, IT test bench and workstation storage upgrade. It is favored by system integrators and hardware enthusiasts for flexible storage routing without expensive U.2 hardware. Please note that it only works for PCIe NVMe M-key SSD and cannot support SATA M.2 drives.
