This internal extension cable adapter is specially designed for DIY PC builders whose motherboards only have USB 3.0 20Pin front panel headers and lack built-in Type-E ports. It links the motherboards 20Pin USB male header to a Type-E female socket, directly matching the chassis front panel USB-C cable to realize front Type-C interface function.
Important Parameter Reminder: Restricted by the USB 3.0 20Pin signal standard, the maximum transmission speed is fixed at 5Gbps. It cannot reach 10Gbps USB 3.1 Gen2 speed, and does not support DP video output or high-power PD fast charging, only for basic data transmission and low-current charging of USB-C flash drives, mobile phones, card readers and other small peripherals.
The soft wire design supports flexible routing inside compact cases, effectively avoiding extrusion of SATA cables, memory slots and fan headers. All metal pins adopt gold plating technology to reduce electromagnetic interference, dust and heat-induced poor contact during long-term computer operation.
It is widely compatible with ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock and all motherboards equipped with blue USB 3.0 20Pin internal headers, and does not support USB2.0 9Pin headers. No extra power supply or software installation is needed. Just insert the 20Pin male plug into the motherboard header, then connect the cases Type-E front cable to the female end for hot-swappable use.
Equipped with built-in overcurrent protection circuit to protect the motherboard and connected USB-C devices. The integrated cable structure makes internal wiring tidy, an essential modification part for users who want to upgrade front USB-C function on existing desktops.
