This overmold integrated internal header adapter is customized for DIY PC builders whose motherboards only have USB3.0 19/20Pin front panel headers without native Type-E USB-C sockets. The whole piece injection molding process combines plug and socket into a solid unit, effectively avoiding wiring mess and damage caused by pulling inside narrow computer cases.
Limited by the hardware specification of USB3.0 20Pin, the maximum transmission speed is fixed at 5Gbps. It cannot reach 10Gbps USB3.1 Gen2 bandwidth, and does not support DP video output or high-power PD fast charging. It only realizes basic data transmission and low-current charging for USB-C flash drives, mobile phones, card readers and other small peripherals.
The upright vertical layout saves internal chassis space and prevents interference with surrounding hardware. Multi-layer differential PCB suppresses electromagnetic interference from power supply and graphics card. Thickened gold-plated pins avoid intermittent connection issues brought by long-term heat and dust accumulation.
No extra power cord or software installation is required. Just insert the 19/20Pin male plug into the motherboard USB3.0 header, then connect the chassis front Type-E cable to the female socket to achieve hot-swappable use. Built-in overcurrent and short-circuit protection chip protects the motherboard and connected USB-C devices.
Compatible with ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, ASRock and other brand motherboards with blue USB3.0 internal IDC headers, not applicable to USB2.0 9Pin headers. Solid overmold construction simplifies internal cable arrangement, a cost-effective hardware upgrade accessory to add front USB-C interface for old desktops.
