ADUM3160 USB isolation module separates the host side and device side electrically. It solves ground loop hum and voltage difference problems often seen in industrial measurement, PLC connection and audio acquisition. The integrated B0505S isolated DC-DC converter supplies power for the isolated side. It works transparently for USB low-speed and full-speed peripherals such as USB-UART adapters, temperature sensors and industrial data loggers. It is widely used to protect laptops and test equipment from ground potential shocks.
