Step 1: Identify your motherboards USB 3.0 19-pin header. Locate the notch/key on the header.
Step 2: Confirm the notch faces outward (away from the center of the motherboard). If it faces inward, this is the wrong version please purchase Type A.
Step 3: Align the adapters male connector with the motherboard header. Ensure correct pin orientation the adapter is keyed to prevent incorrect insertion.
Step 4: Gently press the adapter straight down onto the header until fully seated. Do not force it it should slide on smoothly.
Step 5: Connect your USB 3.0 front panel cable to the adapters female port.
Step 6: (Optional) Apply the included EVA pad underneath the adapter for extra stability and to prevent short circuits.
