could I plug this into an Eyeboot SATA to 4 x 3 Pin Male Computer Case Fan Power Connector Y-Splitter Adapter Cable safely? Currently, My motherboard only has 1 working case fan header and I want to add 3 to 4 additional 120 mm Case fans but I don't want the fans running full throttle constantly and I'm hoping to control the speed of all 4 fans to reduce fan noise.

Theoretically you could. The problem might be that the controller wouldn't work quite right with the load of multiple fans. Since power is coming from a SATA power connector, the capacity of the supply would be adequate. This would probably not be the case if the power supply was a fan connector n the MB. You could try connecting a splitter to the output of the controller. If the results are not what you desire, anothersolution might be to connect multiple controllers to the Y-splitter so that you have one controller per fan.
