By using a thin and extremely stable carbon plate, this cooler could be designed as a 1-slot cooler without compromising on the copper block. Combined with the brass connectors located at the rear, multiple coolers can be easily stacked on top of each other or side by side in the server case. This sophisticated design saves space, simplifies tubing, and enables seamless integration into the water circuit. High-quality copper is used for all water-carrying parts, offering almost twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum. Furthermore, the copper is chrome-plated instead of nickel-plated, providing additional protection for the cooler.
The chrome plating is more resistant to acids, scratches, and other damage, effectively preventing coating chipping. Technically, the GPU water cooler has been completely redesigned. To optimize cooling performance, the gaps between the cooler and the PCB components were redefined and tested. The water flow was simulated using state-of-the-art software and verified in practical tests. These extensive tests enabled improvements to the cooler base and nozzle to ensure the best possible cooling performance for the new Nvidia GeForce RTX generation.
