Alphacool Apex 2 Thermal Grease - 2g (14755)

The Alphacool Apex 2 Thermal Paste is the next generation of Alphacool's high-performance thermal compound, completely reformulated to deliver improved thermal performance for modern CPUs and GPUs. Developed for demanding cooling applications, Apex 2 is ideal for gaming systems, overclocking, workstations, servers, and high-performance custom water cooling builds.

Developed in close collaboration with thermal interface material specialist Halnziye, Apex 2 features an entirely redesigned formulation rather than a simple revision of the original Apex compound. With a thermal conductivity of 17.3 W/mK and extremely low thermal resistance, the paste efficiently transfers heat from the processor or GPU into the cooling solution.

Apex 2 fills microscopic imperfections between the heat source and cooler contact surface, reducing insulating air gaps and improving thermal transfer. The new formulation provides improved CPU cooling performance while offering particularly strong results at GPU hotspots, making it well suited for both processor coolers and full-cover GPU water blocks.

Despite its high thermal performance, Apex 2 is electrically non-conductive, making it suitable for use around sensitive electronic components. Its optimized consistency allows the paste to be spread into a controlled, thin, and even layer. For easier application, the paste can be warmed briefly by hand before use to make it more pliable.

The application kit includes both a putty tool and spreading card for applying a consistent layer across the contact surface. An included alcohol cleaning wipe helps prepare the CPU, GPU, or cooler surface before installation.
