Spherical motor principle invented by former Laing
The WCP D5-VARIO is a DC pump using the spherical motor design as developed by Laing. The only moving part in a spherical motor pump is a spherically shaped rotor/impeller unit, which is seated on an ultra-hard, wear-resistant ceramic ball.
The bearing is self-adjusting. It is lubricated directly by the medium being pumped (wet rotor design). Separate maintenance is not required. All parts in contact with the medium are corrosion resistant.
The pump's rotation speed can be finely adjusted throughout a wide output range via a speed governor, which is integrated into the stator. Thus, you may easily regulate hydraulic performance or limit power consumption. The pump always uses the same torque, independent from rotational speed, ensuring reliable starting also on the lowest power level.
The pump comes without attachment parts. Operation requires an appropriate pump cover, which is separately available.
Power supply is provided by a 4 pin Molex connector. The pump also offers a 3 pin Molex plug for rotational speed MonitO-ring.
