GLOTRENDS PA17 PCIe 5.0 x16 Riser Adapter Card The PA17 is a rigid PCIe 5.0 x16 riser adapter card (not a flexible cable) built to relocate and re-orient a full-size PCIe card - a graphics card or an NVMe SSD adapter - inside 1U/2U rack servers, workstations and compact desktop builds where the motherboard slot position blocks direct installation. Three installation styles - Straight: keeps the slot orientation and raises the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot height by 200mm to clear shrouds, cages and adjacent components. - Right Angle (0-90 Degree): turns the card sideways to fit shallow 1U/2U chassis. - Left Angle (0-270 Degree): rotatable design that adapts to different rack layouts; a low-profile option is available for 1U/2U server installation. Full PCIe 5.0 x16 bandwidth The PA17 provides pure PCIe x16 signal pass-through with no signal enhancement or protocol conversion. To achieve PCIe 5.0 x16 speeds, the CPU, the motherboard PCIe x16 slot and the GPU/SSD must all support PCIe 5.0. The card is backward compatible with PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16, and the link automatically runs at the highest speed all components support. Important notes - No hot-plugging: power off the system and unplug the power cord before installing or removing the card. - The PA17 is a pass-through riser; it cannot convert a PCIe 4.0 signal into a PCIe 5.0 signal. Applications - Installing a full-height GPU into a 1U/2U rack server - Vertical GPU mounting in desktop cases - Adding clearance around the PCIe x16 slot for cooling and cable management - Connecting NVMe SSD adapter cards in space-limited enclosures
