The HiFiBerry Digi is a high quality S/PDIF output card for the Raspberry Pi. It is designed as an additional board that connects to the P1 and P5 pin header of the Raspberry Pi. * Dedicated S/PDIF interface chip supports up to 192kHz/24bit resolution * Optical (Toslink) and electrical outputs * Bit perfect output, the audio data stream is not changed in any way * Direct connection to the Raspberry Pi, no additional cables required * No soldering. The Digi+ comes as a prefabricated kit. Simply plug it on the Raspberry Pi B+.
The board complies with the Raspberry Pi hardware-attached-on-top (HAT) specification. This means it fits perfectly with your Raspberry Pi B+. * Powered directly from Raspberry Pi, no additional power supply *
Optional: high bandwidth output transformer provides full galvanic isolation of electrical output (not standard version) * Built-in EEPROM for automatic configuration (with write protection). Note that this feature is still under development by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. You will be able to upgrade your HiFiBerry DAC+ when it is officially available. The sound card works without this function. * Comes with all required components for assembly. We include 4 M 2.5 x 12 mm spacers to attach the card to the Raspberry Pi. Note on compatibility with Raspberry Pi Model A and
B: This board is only compatible with Raspberry Pi Model B+. If you own an older Raspberry Pi Model A or B, please use our
HiFiBerry Digi (https: //www. hifiberry. com/hbdigi). The sound quality of both boards is identical.
Important Note: While the hardware is capable of outputting DTS/Dolby Digital, the software needs to be customized to support this. We will help the developers implement this. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee
