For USB testing, open the rear cover and use a USB-A to USB-C cable with a 5V/2A USB-A charger or laptop port. Do not use a USB-C to USB-C cable, as it may not power the device correctly and could make it appear faulty. USB cable not included. Data Readout: The OEM motorcycle data displayed on the R7M is provided by your BMW. Availability varies by model and configuration. For example, lean angle requires a built-in BMW lean angle sensor; if your motorcycle lacks this sensoror if BMW's communication protocol does not expose this datathe R7M cannot display the value. These limitations are defined by the motorcycle and cannot be overridden.
^^ Reminder: The R7M screen comes with a clear HD soft film pre-installed. This is different from the black temporary protective film used for factory shipping. If you notice scratches on the surface, they may only be on the removable HD soft film, not the actual screen. Before applying a tempered glass screen protector, please remove this pre-installed soft film first for better adhesion.
