The 500 m figure counts the first 100 m from your PoE switch plus four chained hops, so a farm gate, a car park camera or a warehouse yard AP lands inside reach without fibre and without a mid-span cabinet. ^^ IP67 SEALED ALUMINIUM WITH SCREW-TYPE WATERPROOF RJ45 GLANDS The cable enters through a compression gland with strain relief, so the RJ45 plug is sealed without cutting or re-crimping the cable.
