Product Description The P3A PCIe Bifurcation Riser Card lets you expand a single PCIe x16 slot into four independent PCIe x4 slots, giving you the flexibility to connect multiple devices without upgrading your motherboard. It operates at PCIe 3.0 speeds and uses a dedicated clock splitter to maintain signal integrity across all lanes.
Important BIOS Setting Required: This card relies on your motherboards PCIe bifurcation support. Before installation, enter your BIOS and set the target PCIe slot to x4x4x4x4 mode. If your motherboard only supports x8x8 mode, only the first and third slots will function (each at x4). If bifurcation is not supported at all, only the first slot (closest to the goldfinger connector) will work. Always check your motherboard manual for bifurcation compatibility.
Power Supply Guidelines: The card draws its base power from the motherboards PCIe slot, providing up to 75W shared across the four slots. For additional power, connect one or two SATA 15pin power cables to the onboard auxiliary inputs each adds up to 36W. No auxiliary power needed when running one GPU plus lowpower cards. Connect 12 SATA power cables when installing two or more graphics cards or highpower devices.
Physical & Thermal Design: The four PCIe slots are spaced 2cm apart, accommodating standard singleslot cards. If your card has a thicker heatsink or dualslot design, you will need a PCIe extension ribbon cable to mount it separately (not included).
