Based on the proven LSI SAS2308 controller, this 8-port 6Gb/s SAS/SATA HBA delivers stable throughput for NAS and server storage. Featuring two internal Mini SAS SFF-8087 connectors, it can directly attach up to eight SAS or SATA drives. As your storage array expands, simply add an external SAS expander to scale to dozens of disks. Shipped in HBA IT Mode (NonRAID) for full compatibility with ZFS, TrueNAS, and unRAIDallowing your operating system to manage disks natively with complete SMART and TRIM passthrough. PCIe 3.0 x8 provides ample bandwidth for multidrive workloads such as media servers, backup targets, and virtualization labs. Included: 2× SFF8087 to 4× SATA/SAS breakout cables for connecting native SAS drives. For SATA drives, please use SFF8087 to 4× SATA breakout cables (sold separately) or select our prematched kits.
