Built around proven 82599ES 10GbE controller, this dual-port SFP+ adapter delivers stable 10G performance for virtualization, storage and routing. It provides PCIe 2.0 x8 connectivity and supports SR-IOV, VMDq, MSI-X, VLAN and jumbo frames to reduce CPU overhead and improve multi-queue throughput. Use SFP+ DAC for short reaches, or 10GBASE-SR/LR optics with LC fiber; RJ45 requires a 10GBASE-T SFP+ module (sold separately). Brackets for full-height and low-profile cases ensure easy fitment in 1U-4U servers and small form-factor builds. OS support spans common hypervisors and server distributions, making it a dependable choice for ESXi/Proxmox/KVM, TrueNAS and firewalls. Also referred to as a PCI network adapter by users (PCIe interface).
