Four RJ45 10/100/1000BASE-T ports support Auto-Negotiation and Auto-MDI/MDIX over standard CAT5e/CAT6 to 100 m, making upgrades simple. Advanced featuresSR-IOV/VMDq, 9K jumbo frames, VLAN 802.1Q, link aggregation/teaming, EEE 802.3az, flow control 802.3x, MSI-X, and checksum offloadprovide low-latency and efficient throughput across Windows, Linux, VMware ESXi, and FreeBSD. The card fits PCIe 2.0 x4 (or x8/x16) slots and ships with both full-height and low-profile brackets for 1U/2U chassis. Passive heatsink requires basic chassis airflow during sustained loads. RJ45 only (no SFP/SFP+); use CAT5e/CAT6 cabling. Requires an available PCIe slot; not a PoE injector. Also referred to as a PCI network adapter by users (PCIe interface).
