The BIGTREETECH MAX31865 V2.0 is a dedicated high-precision RTD resistance-to-digital conversion module specially designed for 3D printer temperature monitoring and industrial temperature measurement. Centered on the MAX31865 professional conversion chip, it accurately converts resistance signals from PT100 and PT1000 platinum thermal resistors into readable digital data, delivering ultra-precise temperature feedback for printer hot ends and heat beds.
Equipped with DIP toggle switches on the board, users can quickly switch between PT100 and PT1000 modes, as well as select 2-wire, 3-wire or 4-wire sensor wiring to eliminate measurement errors caused by long connecting cables. It communicates via standard SPI bus, featuring strong anti-interference ability and fast response speed during high-temperature printing tasks.
This module is fully plug-and-play compatible with BIGTREETECH SKR V1.4 and SKR 2 series 3D printer main control boards, greatly upgrading the original thermistor temperature detection system to industrial-grade platinum resistor sensing. Integrated multiple protection functions including ±45V input overvoltage protection and automatic open/short circuit alarm for the RTD probe, it effectively avoids nozzle burnout and printing failures due to sensor malfunctions.
With wide power input range of 3.3V to 5V, compact stepper-driver-style form factor and easy onboard installation, it is the ideal upgrade accessory for FDM 3D printers, temperature control instruments and DIY embedded temperature acquisition projects.
