The ViewSonic VX2470-MHD is a 24-inch Full HD IPS gaming monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate, FreeSync, and 1ms MPRT response time, suited to PC and console players seeking smoother gameplay at 1080p.
Recommended For
- PC gamers who want smoother 1080p play than a standard 60Hz display and can use the monitor’s 120Hz refresh rate and variable refresh rate.
- People sharing a screen for everyday work, web browsing, or video who value an IPS panel’s wide viewing angles and a 24-inch Full HD display.
- Users building a multi-monitor desk setup who want a three-sided frameless design and standard HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA connections.
- Home or office users who need to connect an older VGA-equipped computer alongside newer HDMI- or DisplayPort-equipped devices.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- When playing fast-paced PC games, the 120Hz display can make motion look smoother than a standard 60Hz screen; Variable Refresh Rate can help reduce tearing when the game’s frame rate fluctuates and the graphics card supports it.
- For compatible console games, connect over HDMI and use a supported 120Hz output setting to see smoother on-screen motion; the console, game, and settings must support that output.
- For everyday home-office or study tasks such as reading, browsing, and document editing, the Full HD IPS screen provides a standard desktop workspace, while its Text preset and viewing-comfort features offer options for extended sessions.
- In a compact desk setup, the monitor can serve as a screen for a laptop or desktop connected through HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA, making it easier to use with newer computers and some older devices.
- For casual movie or video viewing between work and gaming, the Movie preset and built-in speakers provide an all-in-one setup; users who want fuller or louder sound can connect separate audio equipment.
