How to get the glass side panel off? It doesn't seem to be the slide up type of panel and I don't wanna break it by pulling it too hard

There are directions that show you that should be included, be sure to observe the 3 steps.  You have to remove 2 back thumb screws to remove the top.  Then you need to remove a small screw near the center top for the side glass and the front glass (they may be screwed in underneath the small metal screw plate and therefore not removed).  Lastly, you need to grasp a metal tab for the side glass and pop it out and then up.  The front glass removes in a similar manner.
