If your gas cylinder is old or worn, you can replace it with an Omyoffice heavy-duty gas lift cylinder. The gas lift cylinder has excellent mechanical properties and durability. It can support higher weight than standard seat gas lift cylinders. Pneumatic impact allows it to rotate 360 degrees easily, smoothly and quietly. It is an excellent alternative to damaged or worn air lifts on office chairs, work chairs, executive chairs, etc.! Although this cylinder can hold many chairs and stools, it cannot hold them all. Please confirm your original cylinder. After installation, the smallest size difference should not change the performance of the lift. Be sure to remove the gas cylinder carefully, do not heat or puncture it.

- STEP 1 : Add shaft collars between the old cylinder and chair seat
- STEP 2 : Tighten lower shaft collar,leave the upper shaft collar slightly loose
- STEP 3 : Add twist,allow twist to press against the surface of the upper shaft collar
- STEP 4 : Tighten twist untill chair pops off the old cylinder

How to make sure the gas lift cylinder fits your office chair?
- Check the outer and inner diameter of your broken gas lift cylinder. This replacement part fits the one with an outer diameter of 2" and inner diameter of 1.1".
How to install the gas lift cylinder on your own?
- Tip the chair onto its side.
- Use the rubber mallet to tap and remove the base of the chair away from the seat.
- Use the pipe wrench to clamp tightly onto the top of the cylinder. Twist and then pull up in order to remove the cylinder.
- Remove the orange cap of the new cylinder. Insert the bottom of the cylinder into the center of the chair base.
- Carefully lift both the chair base and the chair cylinder into the chair mechanism. The parts will then fasten on their own.
