Installation steps:

Add shaft collars between the old cylinder and chair seat

Tighten lower shaft collar,leave the upper shaft collar slightly loose

Add screw,allow screw to press against the surface of the upper shaft collar

Tighten screws untill chair pops off the old cylinder

Now simply add the new replacement cylinder
