Question 1

Whats the range for this headset? how far from the wifi adapter can you go without it cutting out/ popping noise?

I was able to a different floor and about 2 rooms away and was still getting the audio from the game without any pops.  But just like any wireless device it all depends on the surroundings I have drywall walls.  Also I wasn't using the headset at the time, just didn't take them off when I went upstairs.  I can see these working for any good distance you would want between you and your gaming system.

Is this compatible with a 500 gb ps3?

This is compatible with the PS4 and all the PS# models. It is also compatible with the XBox 360 and I assume the XBox One as well.

Question 3

With the adapter, would this be functional in a 2.5mm corded telephone headset-jack ?

Probably not. The base station connects using an optic audio cable. MAYBE you can get it working if your telephone runs off of optic audio, but I don't know if that even exists. The headset connects to the base station using Bluetooth and to the PS4 controller using the cable. So no, I don't think it will work.

Does it work with xbox 360?

to the guy who says it WONT work on xbox one, that is party chat, because microsoft has yet to release the chat adapter. im guessing this will work on xbox one with game sound, just like ALL 360 compatible headsets...since it uses a s/pdif connector, XO uses that too. im still waiting for confirmation after 11/22 before purchasing. i game on multiple platforms and need a compatible headset

I'm looking to use this headset in bluetooth connection from my TV/Stereo system to my comfy recliner chair about 8 feet away.  Don't need any gaming functions, just a stereo analog input jack on the transmitter and a VOLUME CONTROL on the headset.  However, on Turtle Beach website I see a note saying with music player connected to the analog input, to use volume control on the music player.  Does this mean the volume control on the headset does NOT control signal from that input jack...?

I do not know for a stereo that has Bluetooth if it will work or control the TV signal

I just bought the PX4 for my PS4. The sound is terrific when listening to the game, however I get a lot of static when connecting the headset to the PS4 controller to use the mic. The headset does not connect to PS4 via Bluetooth. It is unrecognized by the sustem. I am also picking up radio signals when mic is connected to controller. Other gamers complain about the static. What can I do to eliminate the static when trying to utilize the PX4 mic? Do I have to wait for a fix from PS4? Please Advise.

You might just have a bad headset. I've been using the same headset with no static when connected to my controller.  Blue tooth doesn't work for me either though.
