Hi, your question is a bit vague. As long as you have a motherboard that fits a PCIe x1, you have a PCIe x16 (or smaller) graphics card, and you loaded the video drivers properly, yes it will work as if you didn't have the extension adapter.  Though it will slow down performance to a PCIe x1.

Hi Jim,

To mount the card you will first have to shut down your computer, unplug the power and open up your desktop computer. On the motherboard you should see various PCI slots. The one you need for this card is usually white. Just plug it in and put the PCI express card on top until the white clip in the back locks. You should be all set after that.
